Spate Breaks Down the Anti-Blush Approach to a Natural Flush

Beige blush is overshadowing traditional pink heading into fall.

Armani Beauty releases its new Dolci Blush Smoothing Cream in Caramel, a warm beige, this past summer.

Beauty lovers associate blush with a traditional shade of pink or orange, but it extends far beyond the bright, rosy hues – more so now.

Beige blush is gaining momentum, growing 274.9% compared to last year, according to analysts at Spate. The trend currently has low popularity, meaning it has yet to be widely known or adopted by consumers, but its rapid growth signals increasing interest.

TikTok accounts for the largest share of interest, with 76.7% Popularity Share and +274.0% year-over-year growth. Search interest is also accelerating, up 288.2% year-over-year, suggesting this isn’t just a social trend, but one that could be translating into active consumer intent. The trend generates an average of 488 monthly Google searches and 565,800 weekly TikTok views, per analysts.

On TikTok, beige blush has a positive sentiment score of 8.0/10, driven by product recommendations, shade comparisons, and strong intent to try. Cream is the leading format (43,900 weekly views), followed by powder (35,800). Face bronzer (29,600) is also being used as a workaround when consumers can’t find beige and neutral-nude blush shades that suit their undertones or skin tones, pointing to an opportunity for brands to expand their shade ranges. Olive skin is most associated with the trend (44,000 weekly views), followed by brown (17,500) and pale skin (14,000), suggesting broad appeal across complexions. YSL Beauty (45,700), MAC Cosmetics (30,400) and CoverGirl (22,700) are currently the top brands appearing alongside the trend on TikTok.
